3rd Annual Juke Box Mania: Thank-you for your support!
Chase the Winter Blues Away was a well-suited theme for Juke Box Mania 2009. With the weather dipping down to minus 40 that day, our event was a great reason to come out of the cold for some fun and entertainment.

Now you may be wondering, what is Juke Box Mania? Juke Box Mania is an evening of great food and great fun where the main event is a name-that-tune game. Teammates work together to identify songs, jingles, and TV and movie themes from a 30 second sound clip. The music, from all different eras and genres, is divided into categories including (but not limited to) our 2009 play-lists: Operas and Musicals, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Blue, For the Kid in All of Us, He Said She Said: Songs from Elton John and Madonna, Canadian Content, Songs Inspired by War, Map Quest, Teacher Teacher, and TV Sitcoms.
In this family-friendly game, teams compete for game prizes and individuals have many opportunities to win fantastic door prizes.
This was our third annual Juke Box Mania event and was again hosted by our very own Tim Hildebrand. Tim’s great energy made the evening flow and kept the crowd wanting more!
At the break, attendees were treated to our house band, Klaus Gruber and the Magnificent 7. Our very talented band consisted of Family Service Saskatoon staff and board members: Klaus Gruber, Tim Hildebrand, Kathi Lewis, Brian Cochrane, Darcy Burback, Cas Bitner, Patrick Whelan and Darren Winegarden. The song selection included “Oh What A Feeling” by Crowbar, “Jesus is Alright” by the Doobie Brothers, “You Really Got Me” by the Kinks, “Evil Ways” by Santana and “Still Got This Thing For You” by Alannah Myles.
Thank you to all who supported this wonderful event.
