Our Experience & Training

Our staff are fully qualified and experienced counsellors and group facilitators. All receive continuing opportunities to develop their skills and knowledge. Our Board of Directors is comprised of citizens dedicated to providing leadership and services to the community.

We are accountable to our clients and to the community.

 

FAMILY SERVICE SASKATOON CODE OF ETHICS

Mission Statement: Family Service Saskatoon offers programs, services and leadership which develop and support individuals, families and communities to have safe, healthy and respectful relationships.

In accordance with the mission and the value statements of Family Service Saskatoon, the Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers of Family Service Saskatoon have an ethical duty, obligation and responsibility to:

  • Be accountable to the community through a Board of Directors representative of the community
  • Respect the intrinsic worth of all persons and regard the well-being of the persons served as the primary obligation of the agency
  • Fulfill all obligations and responsibilities with integrity
  • Protect absolutely the confidentiality of all information acquired about clients or agency business, except when legally or professionally obligated or properly authorized to disclose information
  • Act at all times in a conscientious and diligent manner and work to develop and maintain competency in the performance of all duties
  • Maintain professional registration, licensing and certification as required and as applicable for performance of duties and responsibilities within the agency
  • Abide by the Saskatchewan Human Rights Code with respect to client services and personnel policies
  • Ensure that outside interests do not influence service to clients or the well being of the agency and adhere to applicable conflict of interest guidelines
  • Work to create and promote a working environment consistent with the values of the agency
  • Adhere to financial management and fundraising practices that are consistent with legal and ethical guidelines for the charitable sector
  • Communicate our programs and services and their underlying values to the community
  • Act to promote the overall excellence of Family Service Saskatoon through continuous growth and improvement
